The messaging system in Archie provides functions that are especially important for people who manage an entity, such as MEs.
Three types of messages can be sent:
System messages - such as information about updates to the system. These are sent by the System Administrators to all users.
Person messages - messages about changes to your own record or tasks assigned to you.
Entity messages - messages about an entity's members or documents.
Person and entity messages are sent automatically by the system, based on the subscriptions you have - see Subscribing to messages. As part of you message subscription, you can specify whether messages are sent within Archie or by email.
When you have unread messages in Archie, an
icon will
appear next to your name in the toolbar.
